Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Klair Labs (klairlabs.com, operated by Klairtech, India) collects when you use our document generators, why, and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does — not a generic template.
The short version
Document generation is 100% client-side. Every affidavit, power of attorney, indemnity bond and letter of undertaking is assembled and turned into a PDF entirely inside your own browser. The names, addresses, relationships, ID numbers and every other word you type into a document form are never transmitted to any server — not to us, not to anyone. We separately collect a small amount of anonymous usage data, and — only if you choose to create an account or subscribe — your email address and, if you're a Pro subscriber, a short label for a saved document (never its contents).
1. Information we do not collect
Because affidavit, POA, indemnity bond and letter-of-undertaking generation all run entirely in your browser (the JavaScript that builds the PDF runs on your device; nothing is posted to a server as part of generating, previewing or downloading a document), we do not receive:
- Names, addresses, relationships, dates of birth, ID/passport numbers, or occupation details you enter into a document
- The wording, clauses, amounts, dates or any other content of a document you draft or download
- Details of the legal matter, transaction or dispute a document relates to
- The contents of any PDF you generate
We also do not store your IP address against your activity, and we do not sell personal information to anyone. We verified this against the live product — the affidavit, POA, indemnity bond and letter-of-undertaking generators make no network request that carries document content; the only network calls those pages make are for optional Pro-tier actions (subscribing, verifying payment, saving a document's metadata) and for the analytics described below.
2. Information we do collect

3. What stays on your device (and never reaches us)
Klair Labs uses your browser's local storage for things that only need to exist on your own device:
- Draft autosave. The document you're currently filling in is saved to local storage as you type, so a refresh or an accidental tab close doesn't lose your work. This never leaves your browser.
- Theme preference (light/dark) and a local count of documents you've made, used only to decide whether to show you the Klair Pro upgrade prompt.
- Custom branding (Pro), such as a saved firm name or logo, stored locally so it can be reapplied to future documents on that device.
You can clear this at any time through your browser's site-data settings; nothing about it is ever sent to a server.
4. Cookies
We use cookies for three purposes:
- Signing you in. A
klair_liccookie on the current domain holds a signed token identifying your account. It is scoped separately for klairlabs.com and klair.in — signing in on one does not automatically set a cookie readable by the other, even though the underlying account is shared. It is not used for tracking. - Consent and analytics. A
klair_consentcookie remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics/advertising cookies on klairlabs.com specifically. If accepted, Google Analytics cookies are then set via Google Tag Manager. - Advertising. See the next section.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser. The tools all work fully without them; you will simply be signed out and asked for consent again.
5. Advertising
We show advertising on our free pages to help fund the tools, using Google AdSense — loaded only after you accept the cookie banner.
- Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Google's own handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy & Terms.
Subscribers see no advertising at all. On a paid plan the advertising script is not loaded on any page — not merely hidden. Advertising never appears on a document you print or save as a PDF, nor on our billing pages.
6. Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Razorpay. Card and bank details are entered on Razorpay's own checkout and go directly to them. Klair Labs never receives or stores your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials. We receive only a subscription identifier, its status and your email address. Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.
7. Email
We send transactional email — sign-in links, receipts and subscription notices — through Amazon Simple Email Service. We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you used a free tool.
8. Where your data is held
Account, subscription and document-metadata records are stored in Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) ap-south-1 region, alongside klair.in's data. Our pages are served through a content delivery network with points of presence worldwide — since Klair Labs serves a global audience, your page requests are typically served from a location near you, not from India — but this only speeds up page delivery; it does not change where the limited personal data above is stored. Google Analytics and Google AdSense process data on Google's own infrastructure under their own terms.
9. Your choices
- Use the tools without an account. Every generator works fully signed out, with no document content ever reaching us.
- See what we hold. Email us and we will tell you.
- Delete it. Email us and we will delete your account, profile and saved document metadata. Where we must keep a record of a payment for tax purposes, we will say so and keep only that.
- Turn off analytics by declining the cookie banner, or with any standard browser setting or extension. Nothing about document generation breaks.
Requests go to hello@klairtech.com and we aim to respond within seven working days. This applies to visitors anywhere in the world; we do not operate a separate process by region.
10. Children
These are business and personal legal-document tools and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle personal data will be announced on the site.
