Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 August 2026

This policy explains what Klair Labs (klairlabs.com, operated by Klairtech, India) collects when you use our document generators, why, and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does โ€” not a generic template.

The short version

Document generation is 100% client-side. Every affidavit, power of attorney, indemnity bond and letter of undertaking is assembled and turned into a PDF entirely inside your own browser. The names, addresses, relationships, ID numbers and every other word you type into a document form are never transmitted to any server โ€” not to us, not to anyone. We separately collect a small amount of anonymous usage data, and โ€” only if you choose to create an account or subscribe โ€” your email address and, if you're a Pro subscriber, a short label for a saved document (never its contents).

1. Information we do not collect

Because affidavit, POA, indemnity bond and letter-of-undertaking generation all run entirely in your browser (the JavaScript that builds the PDF runs on your device; nothing is posted to a server as part of generating, previewing or downloading a document), we do not receive:

We also do not store your IP address against your activity, and we do not sell personal information to anyone. We verified this against the live product โ€” the affidavit, POA, indemnity bond and letter-of-undertaking generators make no network request that carries document content; the only network calls those pages make are for optional Pro-tier actions (subscribing, verifying payment, saving a document's metadata) and for the analytics described below.

2. Information we do collect

WhatWhyHow long
An anonymous usage beacon. When a page loads, and when you produce a document (print or PDF download), your browser sends a small, non-blocking signal recording the page path, an event name (e.g. "view", "doc_made", "doc_pdf") and the referring page. No document content, no form field values and no legal-matter details are included. To know which tools people actually use to completion, so we know what to maintain. Indefinitely, as aggregate counts
Google Analytics data, loaded through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-PQGFKH5J) โ€” but only after you accept our cookie banner. If you decline, this never loads. This may include cookies, an approximate location and device information. Traffic sources and site performance.Per Google's retention settings
Your email address, if you create a free account or subscribe to Klair Pro. Accounts are shared with klair.in โ€” signing in on either site works on both. To sign you in by emailed link and to identify your subscription.Until you ask us to delete it
Profile details you type into your account โ€” for example your name or firm name for a Pro document header. So you do not retype them.Until you delete them or close the account
Saved document metadata (Pro only) โ€” document type, a short title, an amount if applicable, and the date. Not the document's contents or wording. So you can find a past document in your workspace.Until you delete it
Subscription records โ€” plan, status and renewal dates, from Razorpay. To provide what you have paid for.As required for tax and accounting records

3. What stays on your device (and never reaches us)

Klair Labs uses your browser's local storage for things that only need to exist on your own device:

You can clear this at any time through your browser's site-data settings; nothing about it is ever sent to a server.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for three purposes:

You can clear or block cookies in your browser. The tools all work fully without them; you will simply be signed out and asked for consent again.

5. Advertising

We show advertising on our free pages to help fund the tools, using Google AdSense โ€” loaded only after you accept the cookie banner.

Subscribers see no advertising at all. On a paid plan the advertising script is not loaded on any page โ€” not merely hidden. Advertising never appears on a document you print or save as a PDF, nor on our billing pages.

6. Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Razorpay. Card and bank details are entered on Razorpay's own checkout and go directly to them. Klair Labs never receives or stores your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials. We receive only a subscription identifier, its status and your email address. Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.

7. Email

We send transactional email โ€” sign-in links, receipts and subscription notices โ€” through Amazon Simple Email Service. We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you used a free tool.

8. Where your data is held

Account, subscription and document-metadata records are stored in Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) ap-south-1 region, alongside klair.in's data. Our pages are served through a content delivery network with points of presence worldwide โ€” since Klair Labs serves a global audience, your page requests are typically served from a location near you, not from India โ€” but this only speeds up page delivery; it does not change where the limited personal data above is stored. Google Analytics and Google AdSense process data on Google's own infrastructure under their own terms.

9. Your choices

Requests go to hello@klairtech.com and we aim to respond within seven working days. This applies to visitors anywhere in the world; we do not operate a separate process by region.

10. Children

These are business and personal legal-document tools and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle personal data will be announced on the site.
